Simple, clear information about how the FIC Portal handles personal information.
Family in Christ (“FIC”, “we”, “our”) respects the privacy of members, visitors, ministry workers and other people who use the FIC website, Church CRM and Member Portal. We use personal information only for legitimate church, ministry, administrative, communication, safety and support purposes.
Depending on how you use the FIC Portal, we may collect information such as your name, contact details, membership information, profile photo, family or group information, attendance records, ministry assignments, event participation, portal activity, support requests and information that you choose to submit.
Prayer requests, pastoral-care information and support concerns may contain personal or sensitive information. Access is limited according to the privacy or ministry setting of the relevant feature. Please share only information that is appropriate and necessary.
Access is limited according to a person's role and the purpose of the information. Authorized FIC leaders, administrators, pastors, ministry leaders or support personnel may access information when reasonably needed for their responsibilities. Members must not copy, publish, sell or misuse information about other members.
Information is not automatically made public simply because it is stored in the FIC Portal. Where a public-profile or sharing feature is offered, it should remain optional and subject to the applicable privacy setting. Public links should be shared carefully because anyone who receives a public link may be able to view the information made public through it.
Profile photos or media that you upload may be used inside the Portal according to the feature and its privacy settings. Permission for FIC to use a person's photo or video in public ministry communications, websites, social media or promotions should be handled separately from ordinary Portal registration where appropriate.
FIC may use the contact information provided to send account notices, church announcements, event information, ministry updates and other relevant communications. We aim to keep communications appropriate to the church relationship and the services provided.
FIC uses reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect Portal information, including account authentication and role-based access where available. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their passwords, sign out of shared devices and report suspected unauthorized access.
You may update information available through your profile or contact FIC if information is inaccurate or needs to be reviewed. Some records may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for church administration, security, legal obligations or legitimate recordkeeping.
If you have a question about your personal information, need a correction, or want to raise a privacy concern, please contact FIC through the Member Portal Contact Support page or speak with an authorized FIC administrator.
FIC may update this policy as the Portal, ministry practices or applicable requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
